It's awards season, and GSC has come through for us. For a limited time, we can catch a curated selection of acclaimed films on the big screen, thanks to GSC's Awards Showcase 2026. Adding onto the excitement, GSC is also screening the classic film Yi Yi this month, restored in 4K for its 25th anniversary.

Here's your guide to the films coming to cinemas in March:

Hamnet

Based on the acclaimed novel by Maggie O'Farrell, Hamnet reimagines the story behind Shakespeare's play. Paul Mescal plays the great scribe, and Jessie Buckley his wife, Agnes, as they grieve their young son. The film is directed by Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland). While both Mescal and Buckley have been praised for their performances, Buckley has already won a Golden Globe for her role. She's also up for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Oscars this month.

Bugonia

Yorgos Lanthimos has had a busy few years: following the success of Poor Things (2023), he's since released Kinds of Kindness (2024) and now he's back on the awards circuit with Bugonia. For his latest feature, he reunites with his regular collaborators Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. It's a black comedy about two conspiracy theorists who kidnap a CEO, believing her to be an alien. Emma Stone is up for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and might just clinch it for a third time (she last won in 2023, for Poor Things).

The President's Cake

Written and directed by Hasan Hadi, The President's Cake made a splash at Cannes Film Festival last year, winning the coveted Camera D'Or for the best first feature film at the festival. Set in 1990s Iraw during the presidency of Saddam Hussein, the tender drama follows a little girl's journey to bake a mandatory cake for the President's birthday. Although it's Hasan's debut feature, he has some Hollywood heavyweights on his team: the film's executive producers include Chris Columbus, Eric Roth and Marielle Heller.

Yi Yi

Edward Yang's 2000 drama is widely regarded as a masterpiece, and often cited by other directors as one of their favourite films. Celebrating the 4K restoration of Yi Yi, we now have the chance to see the Taiwanese-American auteur's final film in selected cinemas. Following three generations of a middle class family in Taipei, the film premiered at Cannes Film Festival, where Yang won Best Director.
