COS returned to the New York Fashion Week runway with its Autumn Winter 2026 collection, bringing drama and pizzazz. It pushed corporate dressing into a slightly more decadent mood.

Presented inside the WSA building in New York’s Financial District, the 47-look collection found its sweet spot in the tension between sharp city dressing and something a little more excessive, pulling references from 1920s glamour into COS’ modern wardrobe.

The collection’s “Corporate Modernism and 1920s Decadence” title pretty much gives the game away. The brand looked to the polish of the boardroom and the indulgence of the roaring 20s. 

Sharp tailoring, elongated outerwear, and fluid proportions came through in a cool palette of grey, black, and navy. Soft browns, neutrals, and flashes of purple kept things from getting too serious.

One of the more memorable styling moves was a tonal sweater wrapped around the waist over an already warm coat. The now-familiar habit of wearing your sweater everywhere except your actual body perfectly captures the current styling zeitgeist. The unnecessary extra layer feels like quintessential decadence. If the coat is already doing the job, keeping you warm, why stop there?

Collarless blazers also stood out, bringing a softer edge to the corporate uniform. Coated leather trousers added a little gloss against those textured knits. 

Across the collection, the clothes had a seemingly unisex quality, with tailoring, knitwear, shirting, and leather moving freely between the menswear and womenswear looks. Of course, “unisex” can still be a funny term when so much of its vocabulary is rooted in menswear. 

Especially in corporate dressing, where the power suit has long been the default. Still, it’s refreshing to see the clothes left to speak for themselves, without drawing such a hard line between men’s and women’s. Let customers decide for themselves what good clothes are, regardless of gender.
