Japanese watchmaker Citizen is probably best loved for its affordable watches with professional, field-ready specifications and durability, but that doesn't mean you should expect any less from the brand's other offerings.

Citizen's newest Eco-Drive One, the AR5065-54W, is a 38mm dress watch with a slightly sporty twist. The dial features a deep black centre surrounded by a textured emerald green, as well as rose gold hands, markers and an inner ring, with the contrasting colors giving it a modern edge. Plus, the four screws on the bezel give it a technical look.

Just like the other watches in Citizen's Eco-Drive One range, it's incredibly thin, at just 3.8mm, which is especially remarkable given that it still features the brand's signature Eco-Drive technology, allowing the movement to be powered by any light source. From a technical standpoint, it's as functional as a dress watch needs to be: the stainless steel bracelet and case have extra coating for durability, and it has 50 meters of water resistance.

With a case deliberately shaped to fit the wrist and a two-piece construction without the typical removable case back (though the case back has a numbered limited-edition engraving), this is a dress watch designed with comfort above all, and it truly shows. The one downside is that the watch is limited to just 250 pieces worldwide.
