On the day the Seventeen member S.Coups arrived on set, he was greeted with sweltering heat, just like how Thai summers tend to be. Yet, inside the studio, the atmosphere was cool and comfortable, heat barely rising beyond the warm and welcoming energy that S.Coups brought. We invited him to talk about everything, such as his relationship with BOSS, his colleagues, and the fans who support him.

How do you connect with the identity of Boss?

I believe I resemble the spirit of the brand’s slogan, ‘Be your own Boss,’ with the confidence and ambition to take charge of my own life and move toward my dreams, and I think many people view this self-driven energy positively.

As a member of the group, how do you take care of yourself to be ready for every show?

Before going on stage, I rouse my senses through stretching to get into the best performance state. I also have a personal routine: applying a fragrance right before I step out. Wearing a scent I like helps me ease the tension and start the show with a refreshed mindset.

As the leader of Seventeen, which moral leads you through your career and how is that moral related to Boss?

Leading a group as large and diverse as Seventeen requires charismatic leadership that unites the team. Beyond just leading from the front, my core value lies in creating a foundation where the entire team can achieve continuous growth. I feel that this attitude of ‘responsible growth’ aligns with the ethos of Boss.

Which occasion would you wear Boss for, and why?

I would choose Boss for major events where I want to make a lasting impression on a global audience. Its unique silhouette creates a distinct presence in any setting, elevating my self-confidence.

What would you wear in your free time? Which style describes you the best?

In my daily life, I prefer wearing more comfortable and functional clothing. I pursue that effortless look with a natural vibe by pairing a simple, well-fitting T-shirt with an oversized silhouette. Since Boss offers such a diverse range of products, it’s always fun to style them depending on the occasion.

You have constantly participated in the fashion world. What role does fashion play in your life?

As an artist, fashion is an extension of my music and another medium to express who I am. I see it as an important part of the process to visually convey the imagery and musical message I want to project.

Do you agree that what you wear is your statement? If so, which pieces would be your truest statement to the world?

Given the nature of my job, when I need to express the mood of a particular song, I tend to choose a look that best embodies that concept. However, in everyday life, I feel most like myself when carrying a natural vibe rather than dressing up. To me, the relaxed look that shows my authentic self is the key item that best expresses who I am.

How was your concert in Thailand? You’ve been here many times, what do you think about your fans here?

The passion of the Carats was as hot as Thailand’s weather, and I truly enjoyed it. Since it was an outdoor show, I was worried the fans would tire out, but seeing them cheer passionately until the end actually gave me more strength. I think I’m the one who was recharged by their incredible energy.

What are the most challenging or rewarding aspects in being an artist and a part of Seventeen?

I’m always eager to show the fans my best, so I can’t help feeling anxious during preparations. Despite that, I feel a great sense of fulfillment when fans cheer for us once the final outcome is revealed. I feel the most rewarded as an artist when the members, Carats, and I all become one on stage, experiencing that powerful synergy.

Share some magical moments when you are on stage.

It is when the lights come up, flooding the stage after the blackout and when the cheers erupt—that is pure magic. From the perfect chemistry with the members and the spectacular effects, to the intimate moments of making eye contact with fans on moving carts, all of these moments are precious to me.

What is your highest ambition as an idol?

My highest ambition is to continue sharing enjoyable moments with Carats for a long time to come, just as we have done over the past decade. At the same time, I want to solidify a deeper musical world of my own as an artist through solo activities and various projects.

What is your career goal? Do you ever picture yourself being that person who inspires others?

My career idols are undoubtedly my members. As we build Seventeen together, I feel the immense synergy we have, which is far greater than what I could achieve alone. We are each other’s closest colleagues and a source of positive motivation. Watching them pushes me to keep growing and to become a better person, both as an individual and as an artist.

What do you do in your free time, if you have any?

Since I’m often on the go, I prefer to spend my downtime at home as much as possible. I like to focus entirely on resting and recharging my energy so I’m ready to keep going.

When you’re upset or down, who or what is your sanctuary? How do you cope with it?

When I feel heavy-hearted, I spend time with people close to me and share my concerns. Talking and laughing together helps clear my mind, giving me the strength to start again.
