As if running two marathons (one sub-3) wasn't enough, Harry Styles landed the cover of Runner's World this week, posing in middle America in a series of funky running outfits and Oakley sunglasses. You'd be forgiven for thinking the "Aperture" singer isn't taking it seriously, considering he's wearing leopard print shorts and playfully tinted, futuristic shades.
But - animal print aside, Styles has actually nailed his running outfits, which is probably why he's hammering out those sub-3 marathon times. His shoes - the Nike Zoom Alphafly 3 - are among the best, and running in Oakleys is genuinely a good idea. While the sunglasses have become a fashion fad over the past few years, with people wearing them to see Fred Again at Ally Pally or sneak away from Glastonbury's Woodsies stage at 3 a.m., they're still a must-have for serious runners.
Oakley actually revolutionised running sunglasses with the 1984 launch of its Eyeshades, created by the brand's founder, Jim Jannard, to provide goggle-like protection with superior grip via unique Unobtainium (a patented, hydrophilic rubber compound created in 1975) materials. Since then, the brand has expanded, offering newer takes on its OG sunglasses, each as effective as the next for running. While great for shielding your eyes from the sun's glare, Oakley's lens tech is where the real magic happens. High Definition Optics is essentially like having HD vision in real life - everything is sharper, and blurry edges and distorted views are crystal clear.

Styles' own shades, which he wore for the shoot in an array of colours, and actually sports when he nails those marathon times, are Oakley's Cyber Zero. They're the brand's hero sunnies for running, building on that heritage of optimal field of view. The O Matter temples have integrated Unobtainium earsocks for a no-slip grip, while a patented Prizm Lens Tech provides unrivalled clarity.
Fancy smashing a sub-3 marathon like Styles? Look to Oakley. Leopard print shorts optional.
